The people were beaten, raped and killed.
The war in the DR Congo caused for many people to lose there lives. When the Congolese lose there lives they are losing a big part of there culture. The people speak many languages and love to trade and travel. Where the people go define, “he flight of many Congolese to cities and mining towns outside linguistic boundaries has caused new varieties of language to arise”(Genocide). These problems arose and much diversity and culture was being diminished. As part of this genocide many people were raped then killed. These “Civilians in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo remain victims of mass killings, severe torture and widespread rape at the hands of numerous armed groups operating in the provinces of North Kivu, South Kivu and Orientale. “(Genocide). This has left many families scared and left to deal with the after math.
